Carl served as CFO of Singapore General Hospital, a 2,000-bed government hospital, under a management contract between HCA and the government of Singapore.

he was Director of Finance at HCA, based in Nashville, Tennessee, for their International division.

Carl joined Tenet Healthcare (THC:NYSE) as Vice President of the Finance and Development division and went on to become the CFO in 1994.

Carl joined Vista Healthcare in Singapore as Chairman and CEO. The company was later sold to a global healthcare organization.

Carl joined Bumrungrad International, a Bangkok based publicly listed 550-bed tertiary, acute care hospital, as Group CFO. Carl’s responsibilities as CFO included overall financial management of the group as well as leading the acquisition strategy.

Carl joined SEHA, a Public Joint Stock Company incorporated in Abu Dhabi, as Group CEO. He was the first CEO of SEHA and reported directly to the Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors, as well as served as Chairman of the Board’s Executive Committee.

following a voluntary termination of employment with SEHA, Carl formed DBA Portfolio Advisors in Abu Dhabi and currently works with several organizations on an advisory basis, representing them on Boards, committees, and strategic matters, including business expansion through acquisition. He serves as non-Executive Chairman of the Board for Saudi Arabia based Tibbiya Holdings, the wholly owned health sector subsidiary of the Al Faisaliah Group.
